So in summary, Brisbane to Sydney flight, minor tail strike. I presume it was a B767?

They said the plane will return to service shortly. Can anyone shed some light on the inspection process required before the aircraft is given the OK to go again? If it was a B767 the tail strike protector would have taken the hit, but what checks are required around the tail assembly to ensure there was no other damage?
The runway should have a bit of a visible scrape down it, and maybe some flaked paint and aluminium scrapings, if the reports of it being a 'minor' strike are correct.
