As part of Australia Day celebrations, a Qantas A380 will enter Sydney Harbour via North Head and will descend to 1500ft. The aircraft will then conduct a series of turns over the Harbour Bridge and then track out to the Heads.
QFA6601 was indeed low and slow over Sydney Harbour this afternoon, slowing to 120 odd knots and descending to 1100 feet in overcast conditions.

If you have a look at the FlightAware track, you will see a perfect doughnut over Cremorne at 12.51pm (after the U turn around Woolwich).

What is the turning circle of an A380? Looks to be around 1500m!
