Pavement failure
I was listening to ATC at the time of the QF11 departure. Apparently there was a pavement failure just as the A380 rotated which required 34L to be closed for repair. This caused some major issues as QF7 and VA1 had to return to the terminal as they required 34L.
QF64 had to go around as it was about to land behind QF11 and another QF aircraft observed the failure from the taxiway.
ATC switched to 25 (due to the high winds) whilst 34L was repaired. This took about 2 hours. QF7 and VA1 departed shortly after.
