Could a B789XLR fly from SYD - JFK? It is only an additional 941 ml or 1,514 kl than PER - LHR. If so, it could be a stop gap until the Project Sunrise aircraft are chosen, ordered and delivered and then used on thinner US routes.

If the JQ B788s go to QF are there any routes that the A321XLR wouldn't be able to operate? SYD - HNL perhaps? Maybe, they could keep a small number of B788s for this route and any other long range route.
