QF downgraded me from Platinum to Gold 'cos I took too many RedE fare deals with Qantas that only earned 10 status credits. So now Virgin has granted me Gold status in Velocity. QF didn't reward my loyalty so I may as well reciprocate! Since I have lifetime silver with Qantas what's the incentive to stick with them, especially when they still run 30 year old 763s to HNL.
