You are 100% correct James the B789 is not certified to operate SCL & JNB based on what I have been told from a reliable source.
Qantas haven’t yet explained how they are going to operate these routes without the 747.
I believe the same restriction applies to the A380 so there will be no aircraft in the fleet to operate these routes unless approval is given by CASA
