The pilot of the Seminole was Chris Gobel and I was pleased to spend 5 hours of my life with him back in May, 1978.
I was in the jump seat of the TAA F-27 VH-TQS and we flew Darwin-Tindal-Tennant Creek-Alice Springs.
Chris was in the LH seat doing ICUS as he was being checked to the line for his F-27 command, Check Captain Keith R. was in the RH seat.
The weather was atrocious due to a southerly cold front extending all the way up to Tennant,
We had to do an NDB letdown to get into both Tennant and the Alice.
