Mike, I had the same feeling listening to it happen. Though at no stage did I sense that there wasn't going to be a successful outcome. All involved were very calm and at no stage was there any panic from the Cessna pilot.
It's a shame that I didn't get to hear all the transmissions because I'm pretty sure there's some things missing in there.
Damian, I guess that would be the case, although it was strage that the Bris Center controller did off the use of the Westpac chopper as they would have better knowledge of the area. If the RAAF chopper based at Willy was the one involved, why wouldn't he have just as much local knowledge.
