Default Two injured after plane crash on Shelley Beach

From NEWS.COM.AU:

Two injured after plane crash on Shelley Beach
TWO people have been injured after a light plane landed on a beach on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.
Police said the plane made an emergency landing on the Shelley Beach foreshore around 11.30am (AEST) today.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the two occupants were out of the aircraft by the time paramedics arrived.

"Paramedics are treating them on the scene for minor injuries,'' she said.

Sunshine Coast regional lifeguard Troy Walker, who patrols a beach 1.2km south of the crash, said he sent two fellow lifeguards out on jet skis to the site.

"We don't know exactly what happened as it happened before the lifeguards got there,'' Mr Walker said.

"The (lifeguards) were apparently talking to two boogie boarders and it's (the plane) landed and flipped over close to the beach.

"The plane is submerged in water still.''
