I read in the Cairns Post last week that this new CNS-OOL-CNS service is to connect with the Tokyo-Gold Coast flights as an extra way of bringing overseas tourists to Cairns due to the slashing of International services by Qantas in December to & from CNS.
The article did also say that it would now mean two A320's will overnight in CNS and because of this, an extra 30 people will be employed in CNS for this.
