Well the ADL-CNS 07:55-10:20 and CNS-ADL 10:50-14:30 is currently operated by Melbourne-based crew and aircraft (I did it on Saturday). Our routing for that shift is MEL-ADL-CNS-ADL-MEL. We also have another shift out of MEL that runs MEL-ADL-BNE-ADL-MEL. So I'm not sure if by having the CNS crew and aircraft operate CNS-ADL-CNS it will be freeing up the one that operates BNE-ADL-BNE as you say, because as far as I know it is only us MEL crew and our aircraft that ops the ADL/BNE run, along with the ADL/CNS pairing.
Maybe there is different aircraft utilisation going on here than meets the eye, but just though I'd offer you that perspective from where the crew originate.
