Well the ADL-CNS 07:55-10:20 and CNS-ADL 10:50-14:30 is currently operated by Melbourne-based crew and aircraft (I did it on Saturday). Our routing for that shift is MEL-ADL-CNS-ADL-MEL. We also have another shift out of MEL that runs MEL-ADL-BNE-ADL-MEL. So I'm not sure if by having the CNS crew and aircraft operate CNS-ADL-CNS it will be freeing up the one that operates BNE-ADL-BNE as you say, because as far as I know it is only us MEL crew and our aircraft that ops the ADL/BNE run, along with the ADL/CNS pairing.

Maybe there is different aircraft utilisation going on here than meets the eye, but just though I'd offer you that perspective from where the crew originate.
Yes, crew is important, especially with JQ which has the constraint that the crew must start and finish in their home city. But it wouldn't be an issue under my plan, as the MEL-ADL-CNS-ADL-MEL and MEL-ADL-BNE-ADL-MEL trips are on alternate days currently. My plan makes this trip a MEL-ADL-BNE-ADL-MEL daily, with the new aircraft doing the CNS-ADL-CNS. Then the BNE based aircraft that does the BNE-ADL-BNE 3 days a week (the days when the MEL based crew doesn't do it) can instead do BNE-HBA-BNE.

It's crazy that JQ think they can't make money on HBA-BNE, especially over the peak summer months. No wonder DJ are starting a daily LST-BNE as well as double daily HBA-BNE on Saturdays! Someone's making money!
