Terrible tragedy
Very early stages yet- however the crash site is located I'n a dense corridor of airspace known as the lane of entry , a visual flight rules lane connecting the central coast with Sydney. The majority of ga traffic and alot of helicopters take this lane north and the age article suggests the victims (at least the passenger) is a central coast based businessman which makes sense.
Something must have gone terribly wrong given the conditions described by witnesses and the Way the crash site looks , but don't forget the fact that the area around there has quite critical undulating terrain.
