Qantas sold its last 747, along with five others, to General Electric.

...Little has been reported as to exactly what General Electric Co plans to do with the Qantas 747s.

None of them I suspect, sold for the engines, GE already has a 744 test bed. Some news outlets are quoting Mr Joyce as saying only five are going to GE, which is interesting given the pilot of the joyflights said the last plane was going for a cargo conversion.

The ex VH-OJL flew out of Victorville today for Nashville as N963JM, is this the first time its flown since retirement?
