Seems that rotation detail was incorrect, as ZNK is in fact heading to Hobart from Delhi, making this the first 787-9 into the Apple Isle.

Qantas has begun its announced use of 789s on domestic services ...
ZNC is now operating QF581 from Sydney to Perth - expected to return as QF566 later today.

Qantas 787-9 movements today (9th) ...

ZNC operated another Sydney-Perth-Sydney domestic rotation as QF581/QF566

ZNK operated a Sydney-Melbourne-Perth domestic service as QF769 this afternoon, then continued on as Repatriation Flight QF115 Perth-Frankfurt.

ZNI is operating a Melbourne-Brisbane-Hong Kong service as QF97

& ZND is returning to Sydney from Tokyo (Narita) as QF22

Have a closer look and you will see no covers etc, ZNB and ZNG are the only non active 787s AFAIK

ZNG has been in LAX since 24 September, ZNI since 29 December and ZNC since 5 January. ZNC is departing LAX to return BNE in under an hour

Looks like ZNF will be doing the repat flight ex LAX while ZNJ will be heading to LHR ex PER tonight

Now only ZNG is non active, as ZNB had a 20 minute warmup flight on 12th, and after positioning to Sydney in the early hours this morning, is now operating QF11 Sydney-Los Angeles.
