This argument has ran its race. Anytime anything changes some will like it and others will not.

At the end of the day, Qantas has one of the most recognisable brands in the world, certainly the aviation world. Why would they want to significantly change it and have to start all over again?

Although in support of Nadia, if you can't 'vent-your-spleen' here then where can you?

I think when it comes to designing airline brand image people do take a while to get accustomed to the change - I remember when Cathay changed to the current livery in 94/95 I found the new livery to be awful compared to the previous. 10 yrs down the track when i look at the old livery I realise how 'dated' it was. Story is similar with Northwest, JAL, Thai and even BA so forth.
