FDX77 31,000FT into Sydney
Hi,
According to Planefinder and Flightradar, FDX77 N573FE is approaching Sydney at 31,000FT on a heading of 216. (@4pm) I thought at that heading you would be required to be flying at an even altitude. UPS34 is right behind him at 36,000FT. Perhaps the data FDX77 is broadcasting is incorrect? |

Non-standard levels can be given if traffic permits. He could even be in a block level (FL300-FL320 for example).

Thanks Mick.
I would think that after burning all that fuel from HNL he would have stepped higher like the UPS aircraft close behind. |

Depending on the headwind at higher levels it is sometime more prudent for time and/or fuel reasons to stay low.
