Could be something wrong with 787.

Delayed this morning to Cairns. Still hasn't left from Mel as JQ444 to the Gold Coast.
Would normally leave Mel at 3.40pm and arrive OOL at 4.20pm local time.

It hasn't even left MEL yet.

Anyone know ??

I have heard on the grapevine that delivery of VKB and VKD have been pushed back to January.

JQ will not take delivery of them until certain 787 issues are fixed. VKA had all sorts of problems that where found once it got to OZ!

VKB is on schedule to deliver in December and VKD in January.

Brian's information isn't correct.

My info is VERY correct. I dont know when they will be delivered nor do I care but delays due to problems found with the first has had a flow on effect with the 2 to come. I leave it at that for now!

Are you able to outline what the issues were?

I am still confident VKB will be here in December.

Oh my god you'd never believe it's totally true. I just heard Jetstar is scrapping the 787 contract in favour of accepting the 6 remaining a380's that were due to be allocated to qantas mainline.
