Both EBB and EBD have been in BNE since March 2020. I understand that both are due or in maintenance now before returning to service.

Greg posted a few months ago:

From a reliable source

EBB and EBD are going into a C check in Brisbane in May and will be out after approx 2 months as this is a huge maintenance check and there are corrosion issues that need to be repaired.

I doubt the QF birds will be delivered soon, word is a max of 6 will be delivered this year and with a second LH bird leaving VCV the other day for PAE, LH will have at least two of those slots.

With the way the undelivered 789's are stored in two groups at VCV, with one Qantas 789 in the western group ~8 from the head of the line, and the other two (one of which is ZNN) in the eastern group also ~8 from the head of the line, they are way down the queue.

Re the LH birds - The first two were originally destined for Vistara, and have undergone repainting and additional C flights for their new owner. The next one is ex Suparna, then another two ex Vistara, making 5 in all that LH are taking off Boeings hands.

All this is academic until Boeing & FAA sign off on the release of the completed planes - see the Airliners Net forum Boeing 787 Production/Delivery Thread

Seems there has been a bit of angst at Dallas with the QF8 services to Sydney ...Qantas apologises to hundreds of passengers left stranded at US airport.
789s VH-ZNK (QF8D) & VH-ZNH (QF8) are currently playing chasy across the Pacific.
