Thanks for the info.
If its closer to race day, you wont see any special flights coming in. All the freight will be on commerical services.

Sometimes Formula One Management run another service, if the demand is there, usually leaving early in the week of the race (eg Monday/Tuesday).

Slightly unrelated to movements, but nonetheless...

The Australian Grand Prix Corporation is pleased to announce Qantas as this year’s naming rights sponsor and premier partner for the 2010 FORMULA 1 QANTAS AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX.

Qantas has a long history of partnership with the Grand Prix since Formula One came to Australia in1985.

Australian Grand Prix Corporation Chairman, Ronald J Walker, AC CBE said “We are delighted to have Qantas as our premier partner as it teams the iconic Australian airline with one of Australia’s premier international sporting events.”

Qantas Chief Executive, Alan Joyce said Qantas was proud to be the Premier Partner and naming rights sponsor of the 2010 FORMULA 1 QANTAS AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX.
"Qantas has sponsored the Grand Prix since its arrival in Australia in 1985 and we are pleased to reaffirm our support for this global sporting event, reaching Formula One fans worldwide,” Mr Joyce said.

Qantas previously supported the event as a title sponsor from 1997 to 2001 inclusive.
Tourism and Major Events Minister Tim Holding said the Victorian Government was thrilled with the strong support from Qantas for this year’s event.

"We greatly value the involvement of all our commercial sponsors - their support reduces the cost of this event to the Victorian Government.”

“Melbourne is the major events capital of the world and will next month come alive when hundreds of thousands of Melburnians and visitors from interstate and overseas flock to Albert Park for the Grand Prix,” he said.

2010 is set to be one of the most exciting seasons of Formula One racing yet. Seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher will come out of retirement and take to the track against Australia’s own Mark Webber at speeds in excess of 300 kilometres per hour.

This year there will be not one, but two massive concerts at Albert Park with Powderfinger on Saturday night and Simple Minds on Sunday night starting immediately after the racing action finishes. Each concert is included in the price of admission for all Saturday and Sunday ticket holders respectively.

Very happy! Love seeing the flying kangaroo being the face of one of our biggest international sporting events.

Perhaps we'll start seeing QF F1 liveries again now too..oh the possibilities!

Can't wait, I'm got a jersey in a box above the pits this year for Sat/Sun.

Hopefully it will be a low slow flyover.

Going out on Tuesday after the race? That is a day later than last year iirc. Usually everything is gone by Monday night (mostly morning/early afternoon) and work starts on Tuesday morning in Malaysia.

Thanks for the info Karl.

Does anyone have anything on the flyover on Sunday? (A380 or not? )
