QANTAS A380 VH-OQF Switches from Los Angeles to Victorville Storage.

Jul 15, 2020

QANTAS A380 VH-OQF, which has been in storage at Los Angeles since 26th March, positioned Los Angeles - Victorville for long term storage this afternoon as QF6007.

They say the A380's are being stored at VCV because they have an engineering team at LAX that can drive down and do the periodical maintenance?
Is this a Qantas team?
Are other airlines A380's also being stored at VCV?

Qantas have/had forty odd staff in LA https://www.qantasnewsroom.com.au/me...cility-at-lax/

OQD flew a 3 hour and 42 minute test flight to the north-west of AUH over the Persian Gulf yesterday. Preparing to position to VCV to join the gang, perhaps?

I've heard that OQD/G/I will ferry via the Atlantic rather than the Pacific route
