VH-EKD is scheduled to depart Australia for the last time on Tuesday. Will fly WGA-SYD-AKL. This leaves VH-KDK as the last 340A in the country, though this aircraft is also headed to Air Chathams but hasn’t flown since its emergency landing at Cobar in April.

For BNE spotters, Aircalin on a one time basis is operating its A330-900neo from Noumea on Sunday 20/8/23, instead of an A320neo. Arrival into BNE is scheduled for 17:45 with departure at 19:15. Hopefully, it is early so there will still be some daylight around.

AC-130J Ghost Rider “Jackal 93” is currently do an early morning run from Richmond to Proserpine. Serial 185905. Imagine being on the ground and getting a wake up call from her guns!
There is also a SAR action underway in the Whitsundays, presumably for missing military personnel, with an Australian MRH90 and a U.S. Blackhawk conducting a search with the assistance of the AMSA challenger near Hamilton & Long Islands. |
