Seeing as QF36 was an A330 last night I reckon it is headed to Melb rather than Perth to operate QF93 to LAX.

I was close. OQK did indeed go to Melb rather than Perth but operated QF35 to SIN rather than QF93 to LAX. OQC came in as QF94 and turned around quickly and left as QF93

That flows on from the cancellation of last Monday's QF1 which would have been back in SYD this morning. It will be interesting to see if Sunday's QF1 is also cancelled to continue the pattern of cancelling QF1/2 every 3 days while OQB is sidelined.

OQB has been repaired and is back in service departing this morning as QF11, so that is good news with A380 flights back to normal.

It looks as though two QANTAS A380s are currently unserviceable. OQK left SYD as QF11 on Monday and is still in LAX and OQF arrived as QF2 on Monday and is still in SYD.

This has resulted in QF7 being cancelled on Monday and today, with OQG which operated QF11 yesterday currently on its way back to SYD as Wednesday's QF12. It is due in tonight just prior to curfew.

QF1 is not operating today but the delayed service is due to depart tomorrow morning at 6:30, presumably with OQG operating.

I'm surprised they didn't put an additional 787 onto the LAX service given there is additional capacity at the moment to do this

OQF is in SIN not SYD.

Thanks for the correction, Fred. FlightAware had the SIN-SYD leg not completed but it was a bit confusing showing an estimated arrival time in SYD. QANTAS Source Tracker indicated the leg had been completed to SYD.

OQK is back in service currently inbound operating QF94 LAX-MEL. OQG has just departed SYD as yesterday's QF1 operating as QF1D.

I found the following article in Simple Flying on the QANTAS A380 unserviceabilities:

https://simpleflying.com/quarter-qan...leet-grounded/

Very much over the top and written in emotive language from the passengers perspective quoting their Twitter messages.

From our interest there is no reason mentioned for OQFs mechanical problems and its lengthy stay in SIN.

BTW, QF8 arrival today was cancelled as is today's QF1.
