The two first time visitors today, and Jetstar's new "NeedaBreak.com" logo jet VH-VFU. Cebu Pacific A330 was only delivered on the 20/05/2017, and this looks like its first revenue service.

Grahame, is this the first Xiamen 787-9 service to Sydney? Also, was the LATAM 787-9 on the stand off bay unserviceable?

Xiamen operate the B789 into Sydney occasionally James, this was not the first time, just the first time for this aircraft. I am not sure if it is strong demand, and they need to substitute the larger B789 Dreamliner from time to time, or just a fleet operational issue.

The LATAM Dreamliner is from the Friday service (26th), and there was no Saturday or Sunday LATAM service. Apparently Air New Zealand operated the service into Sydney today for LATAM (maybe they only did the Santiago-Auckland sector).

The aircraft operating Monday's service is already on its way from Santiago. I have not heard of any reason for it being parked on the standoff bay, if its an engine issue it will take some time to sort out.

Thanks Grahame for the update. That may explain NZ1961 and NZ1960 from and back to Auckland yesterday which, noticing now, was scheduled to arrive and depart at exactly the same time as LATAM. Checking back, there was also a NZ1961/1960 that operated on Saturday. Both the Saturday and Sunday flights were operated by B772 ZK-OKE.

Today NZ1961/1960 is scheduled to arrive and depart at 13:05/14:35, so the LATAM flight must have terminated in Auckland.

No LATAM flights today and no special Air NZ flights to and from AKL either.

LATAM 787-9 CC-BGF departed Sydney around midday today to Auckland and Santiago operating as LA800Z. Was this a ferry flight to return the aircraft to Santiago that has been in Sydney since last Friday or the resumption of the normal LA800 passenger flight.

A LATAM 787-9 is inbound to Sydney at this time so it looks as though the service has returned to normal.

Thanks for the update Robert - Connie looks beautiful and a good pickup on VH-OAA, I have not managed to see it yet.
