Think you mean Papua, not PNG, which is somewhat sensitive!

It is not only PNG they have avoided but have flown west of Irian Jaya as well.

Anyone know why Cathay cargo operated a B744 to Sydney today instead of the regular B748?

Sydney look to be getting an Iberia charter at the end of the month. https://www.executivetraveller.com/n...-madrid-flight

Melbourne will be getting a Pakistan Airlines charter arriving on ANZAC Day.

Air China had 3 x A333 at SYD today, the last two arriving 10 mins apart.

Repatriation charters or something else?

The return non-stop flight to Cairo is scheduled to take 17 hours and 55 minutes, 10 minutes longer than the El Al non-stop flight to Tel Aviv from Melbourne.
