Default Wings over Illawarra 2016.

Wings over Illawarra is scheduled for Sat. 30th April, Sun. 1st May.
A good line up this year and I just hope the weather cooperates.

I had originally planned to go there by train, but I saw that there will be railway works and associated disruption of the schedule. Apparently, you have to take three different trains to get there, which will probably mean crowded trains and a lot of delays. So perhaps this year going by car is a better option, especially if you want to arrive early. Is anyone planning to go there on Sunday from the eastern suburbs? If so, could you give me a ride? I will pay for your petrol and the parking costs! Please leave me a private message if you are interested.
Best wishes,
Jonathan

Forecast is not looking great at this stage, i'm sure the organisers will have everything crossed it will improve. After 2 consecutive weather affected years, surely it couldn't be 3...

Weekend forecast doesn't look great.

SAT Cloudy. Medium (60%) chance of rain, most likely in the morning. Light winds.

SUN Cloudy. Medium (60%) chance of showers, most likely in the morning and afternoon. Winds north to northwesterly 30 to 45 km/h tending west to northwesterly and becoming light during the afternoon.

Have they ever thought of moving somewhere that needs rain.

Tony, 127.3 is the CTAF frequency, no NOTAM as of yet to say otherwise or indicate special arrangements.

Thanks for the heads up Dave, might see if I can sneak out and have a look, especially considering tomorrow could be the best of the weather sadly.

Apparently the Hornet will be a fly-in fly-out display without landing both days.
