Yep, I note ZNF seems to have replaced ZNI which is inbound from LAX

It looks like they are trying to give the repat flight aircraft a break on return, which makes sense given the current COVID-19 strains increased ability to pass onto new hosts, LHR QF110 is operating.

Interesting taxi pattern for ZNC after arrival in Darwin this afternoon (from Sydney as QF6111). Seems the single hold on approach wasn't enough time to clear it's apron spot.

Probably a storm and then some confusion, if the gate was occupied they would have run her down the RAAF side rather than drawing a figure 8 that included a run down the runway

I have a feeling the registration would have been VH-VKA, their first 788.

Actually it is VH-VKF. It landed in ASP at 11:09 local time this morning. VKA hasn't flown since 1 October, 2020.

ZNC which arrived in Hong Kong with QF29 on Friday, appeared on FlightRadar24 at the HAICO base today as QFTEST00.
As ZNB operated the return sector QF30 on Saturday, having spent approx. two weeks in Hong Kong, and in turn replacing ZNA which also spent approx. two weeks there (after arriving as QF6009 on 6th January), is Qantas getting in some periodic maintenance on the 789s while the aircraft are on short hours ?
