Default B737-600s scrapped???

Hi folks

According to ch-aviation.ch all 6 ex-Malev B736s along with 2 ex-Austrian/Lauda and one ex-Midwest Airlines (Egypt) units have all been scrapped. Does anyone know if this is correct?? I knew they were in storage but hadn't heard of their scrapping.

Cheers
Rowan

Its correct. They are worth more as spares, than as a complete airframe.

Ta for that... knew it was planned and understand the imperative, just hadn't seen/heard that it had actually happened (esp. 9 already!).

Cheers
