Work experience at the airport.

Good Evening All,

Later on this year I have work experience for school and I am keen on doing something at the airport (preferably with Qantas) but I am having some issues in finding a placement. If anyone could post some suggestions on where I could do it or maybe even some numbers I could call, it would be much appreciated.

Andrew,

I did work experience last year with Air Services Australia and spent one day in the TCU and one day in the tower. Just another possibility you may want to persue.. If you need an email address contact, PM me and ill let you know

Would other airlines (I.e. Virgin, REX, etc) also offer Work Experience? I'd also suggest that as another avenue.

I tried Virgin but they said they only had check-in placements available. But I am contacting Air Services Australia and some other companies. Thanks for the imput.

Have you tried airport admin mate??

Last year i did a week with Adelaide Airport Ltd and spent time in admin, airport management, security, runway checking, apron maintenance and in the tower as well.

They even got me a joyflight at Parafield airport....

I didnt catch which airport you were trying for, but for a general experience it is not to be missed!
