Default Sydney Airport Hotels - Planespotting

For anyone planning a stay at one of the hotels around the Sydney Airport area, I've added added my photos in the interest of comparison.

I had a recent stay at the Budget Ibis Hotel (Formerly the Formule 1 Hotel).
Depending on which room you are allocated, the views are limited and not expected to be as good as to what the Stamford or Rydges have to offer, but for an overnight stay the Budget Ibis is an ok option.

I was lucky to get a room on the 6th floor(top), facing West looking out over the Qantas Domestic Terminal. I was also fortunate to have runway 16L in use at the time as the room provided a great view of the incoming aircraft passing by the window on approach.

I believe the 'Novotel Sydney Brighton Beach Hotel' offers runway views.

The 'Mercure Sydney International Airport' and 'Quest Apartments' Mascot are another two accommodations which may provide limited airport views.

Feel free to add any info or photos here......

Great photo's. The main runway at Sydney definitely has morning and afternoon positions for photo's, but with a bit of creativity, can lead to good photo's at any time of day. Great stuff.
The Jetstar A320 with all orange fuselage and different signage taken from the Budget Ibis has me interested. I haven't seen that special livery before.
Does anyone know more?

Thanks for that Tim.

The orange Jetstar A320 was painted up in this special livery in May of this year to celebrate Jetstar's 10 years of service. Aircraft registration is VH-VGF.

Cheers
