Default from research it is a air to air refuel RAF

ZD948 L-1011-500 1157 KC Mk 1, ex G-BFCA

not sure why it is now registered ZD948. Or why an air to air refuel is in YSSY.

I was having lunch on the mound when it landed. I noticed it actually pulled up at one of the T1 Gates. Anyone able to advise if it is a military charter?

Default Went to gate 33

It went to gate 33 and looks like it came from Auckland, it did have a number of passengers.

I can't yet see when it goes. Hope Nigel can tell us my information is not a forward looking as his.

Tristars aren't just A2A refuelers, they also carry passengers on the main deck.

ZD948 is it's military s/n, not a civil number.
