Haha what's the pushbike's demonstrated crosswind capabilities
Better than that Cherokee of yours I'd say... The ride home last night was rather quick (though the ride in to work was a little slower than usual...).

Lightning in the area at the moment. A DJ 738 just aborted a landing on 16L - other aircraft are on the taxi ways (a few down the end of runway 25)......

And now a JQ 320 also aborted a landing while the Strategic A330 got airborne on 16R. Looks like an interesting night ahead.

QF444 went around at around 5.15pm on 34L from windshear, as did QF562 on 16R at 5.50pm. 16L was temporarily out of action at 5.45pm due to winds

Default Yssy storm tuesday 17/11

Sorry to bump an old thread back up, but the storm that rolled over YSSY on Tuesday afternoon was spectacular.

It's hard to catch lightning shots at night and near impossible during the day and even harder with the rain pouring in on my balcony, but I managed to jag a few.

My favourite is the last shot with the bolt reflecting on runway 25/07.

Hopefully I can get some more over the next few days.

Darren
