Default Past airline routes

Discovered this website http://airline-memorabilia.blogspot.com.au/. Unbelievable how many domestic and regional routes within Australia no longer exist. Was especially interested in the old Southern Australia Airlines and TAA regional routes.

This is fantastic. It's also crazy to see that in 1992, the flight time MEL-HBA was 65 minutes. This is now 75-80 minutes these days!

I know Ryan love it. Also can't get over some of those old routes like Brisbane to Maroochydore, Mildura to Renmark/Broken Hill and the list goes on.

Also have a look at the brochures at the bottom of the page like:

I would never have believed a Melbourne/Cooma/Merimbula service by Ansett back in the early 90's. Anybody know what equipment TAA were using on the Sydney to Moruya and Merimbula sector back in the day? Just a guess maybe Hazelton in the Saab.

Hazeltons did the service on behalf of both Ansett and TAA, they used the Shorts 360 in the mid 90s

Thanks Mark. Great memories looking at that Shorts 360. Working for Qantas now at Sydney I still get excited when I come across equipment form the 80's and early 90's. We still have baggage barrows with TAA and Australian on them.

I remember back in 1986 flying OOL-BNE on Ansett before continuing on a direct flight BNE-LST. That flight then continued on to do LST-HBA!

Interesting to look at Kendell's routes in the late 1990s and Hazeltons in the early 2000s.

Ryan K I'm so glad you posted that because I was sure that a service did exist between OOL-BNE just couldn't find anything on it.
