Not a single 734 or 763 ex QF (aside from the ex BA birds) have been scrapped...aside sign of how well QF look after their aircraft!

Hi Brian

That's what I thought as well as Jet Midwest is a supplier of commercial aircraft parts so I guess the ex QF aircraft will all be parted out and ultimately scrapped.

Cheers

Bob

thanks for the feedback.

I wonder if this is helping QF bottom line by selling off these stationary assets.

27OCT2014
Airwork (PST, Auckland Int'l) has signed an agreement with Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. for two firm and five optional B737-400 passenger-to-freighter conversions. The first aircraft, ZK-JTQ (msn 24442), completed its conversion into a B737-400(F) and was redelivered to the New Zealand freight specialist in August this year and has already been placed into service on behalf of local haulage firm, Toll Group.
"As part of Airwork’s fixed wing dry lease expansion plan, it has recently committed to purchasing six B737-400 sister ship aircraft from a major international airline to add to the one aircraft it previously acquired," it said.
