I am not going to waste my time trying to explain myself to you people!!

I know there is a difference, as I am used to hearing it overfly, directly over my place.

If you can't accept that, then that is your problem!!

Stuart

PS I won't say anything more on this topic!!!

The Etihad B787-9 came out of the paint hanger yesterday sporting the new livery. I quite like the geometric design and unusual colour mix - it will be good to see it in the open in daylight.

Seeing your last post Greg reminded me that I wanted to find out how repairs to the composite fuselage and other parts of the 787 would be done.

I found this article below from Boeing which explains at a high level - so it seems that the use of composites perhaps doesn't introduce any dramas.

United Airlines 787-9 N19951 returned from a B3 flight with hot brakes and will remain on the taxiway until the brakes cool. Also a report of a blown tyre.

LAN to operate the 787-8 or 9? on LA801/800 from April -

http://www.ausbt.com.au/lan-to-fly-b...n=home-flipper

With Etihad replacing their x4 weekly A340 EY451/450 service with a 77W from June, it looks like Philippine Airlines will be the last A340 operator to Sydney (not including the A340 HiFly Defence charters).
