Default Thousands face disruption from looming Qantas Strikes

Yes we'll have to wait and see.

I did hear a radio interview with the union rep who said that they would make sure that another shift would be called in to cover the 2 hour strike (on Monday) and that this 'relief crew' would be on overtime rates??

Just to repeat my post on the Tiger Airways grounding thread, the union has called off strike action so as not to add to the problems that will be caused by pax trying to re-book flights with other airlines (including Qantas/Jetstar).
