Default Is Skywest A320 going for heavy maintenance soon ?

& who would do it & how long would it take ?

What would they use, when the A320is out of action ?

Get one from JQ ? or Who ?

Well it spent a year at JH before it entered service so surely it's not ready for a C check.

It's not as easy as "getting one from JQ", they would probaly just sub it with a f100. Airlines dont usually lend other carriers their aircraft, well unless you are Qantas of course...

Lukas, if you have aircraft and crew available and another airline is in the market for a short term lease then why not? Qantas has provided maintenance cover for a some pacific island airlines from time to time, though not sure if recently. Though with Skywest I suspect your right that they would probably sub a smaller aircraft.

Air Pacific had a short term lease of a United 747-400 last year, when one of the FJ 747-400's was in heavy maintenance in Singapore.

Is the 2nd A320 due soon? That may help if the 1st goes in for a C check.

I think Qantas (well Jetconnect anyway) recently covered the heavy check for Air Vanuatu as well.
