That's debatable.

WOW ! that will be a HUGE change, especially with the jet base basically being removed and the engineering centres taking out Shep's !

I know the airport is not there just for spotting, but these changes will basically leave the beach for 34L16R operations and Foreshore dr for Morning photos of the third runway

I thought I saw a couple of A340-600Fs parking at the freight terminal.

I like it. Hopefully a quick and easy to use (and free) rail or bus system linking all the terminals will be included.

T1 just had the security area centralized and will be seperated again for International and Domestic in a few years time?

I can't imagine what will the traffic br like after the redevelopment considering it is already a big carpark every morning around both terminals.

BTW, aren't we having a second airport somewhere?

A few observations from the brief video:

- Everything around the tower will be changed to accomodate the engineering hangars including the new tower. So that spotting location is gone.
- The car park at the INTL terminal now is fine but there would be a severe lack of parking over the other side. That would need to be addressed, as well as the general flow of traffic into the area. The traffic getting into the domestic percinct as it is: abysmal, particularly with all the taxis. They need to address that.
- Even with the QF terminal all being under one roof, there is still quite a walk between piers. The distance is quiet decieving.
- The regional area is quite small - surely that is aiming towards a second airport to be ideal for regional carriers.

Well guys and gals ; you could always do your spotting/photography in Perth as our Viewing Area officially opens on Friday, 16 December.

It will be great in the afternoon with the sun behind you but no good in the morning.

PS - be sure to bring plenty of water, sunscreen, insect repellant and a tourniquet just in case a nasty bites you.
