Default Aussie Chinook crash.

News this morning that a Australian CH-47 has crashed in Afganistan killing one ( 27yo Pilot) and injuring five others, the Chinook was not able to be recoverd and was destroyed ninety kilometers east of taroun kout. It was on a resuply mission, a US CH-47 was close buy and came to the aid of the Austrslian personnel

Sadly , news reports are stating 2 deaths now .. I sincerely hope that is not the case ..

edit : The Defence Force is now saying that the 2 deaths were the result of two seperate incidents , one as a result of the aforementioned Chinook crash , sadly the second as a result of a shooting by an Afghan Army person .. R.I.P. both ..

The LT killed in the Chinook crash was actually a Black Hawk pilot who had just been detached to the 5 Flight Heron UAV unit at Kandahar, and was on a famil flight of the area when it crashed.
