I am curious of what work it will do now?

Close to 'home' now as according to Skyliner News it ferried Mojave-Tucson-Honolulu-Jakarta between 12th and 16th June. Still no word which airline will operate it (owner Bank of Utah).

^ That would be cool. I believe most of the State of Utah is virtually owned by Mormons.

Seems that these three, VH-EBV, -EBW and -EBY, will be flying for Iran Air soon...

Thanks for the info Bernie, the Qantas 747-300s are my favourite planes. VERY glad to see they have a new home now and should be taking to the skies again.
I also believe that now means all 3 remaining airworthy frames have a job now as VH-EBT is scrapped, VH-EBX was being parted out and VH-EBU is still in open air storage in Avalon. |

If they fly for Iran Air, they'll be around for a fairly long time yet. Interesting, are they going to be their first Roller powered aircraft? (747 At least?).

Former Qantas B747-300 VH-EBW arrived at Kemble a few days ago.
It's last registration was N176SG and interestingly the livery has been altered since the last time I saw it. It is apparently there for storage (skeptical of this) so hopefully this classics life is not over just yet. http://www.abpic.co.uk/photo/1450537/ |
