Default Ex Qantas B734 Overshoots Runway in Northern Italy

An ex Australian Airlines/Qantas B734 belonging to ASL Airlines Hungary overshoots the runway while landing in bad weather at Bergamo's Orio al Serio International Airport in Northern Italy and ended up on a road.

This aircraft VH-TJL was delivered to Australian Airlines 12/11/1991
Transferred to Qantas 31/10/1993
Went to VCV on 15/5/2013

The aircraft was a Boeing 737-476 C/N 24437 - 2162 named Swift

The runway length starting at the runway 28 threshold is 9209 ft (2807m). Failing to stop at the end of the runway, the aircraft travelled 300 m across two roads, a parking lot and a highway lane before coming to rest with the nose across another highway lane.
