Default Major UA expansion next Northern Winter

UA has announced a major expansion of its Australian and NZ services from next Northern Winter including:

3x weekly SFO-CHC B788
3x weekly LAX-AKL B789
4x weekly LAX-BNE B789
SFO-BNE increase to daily
SFO-SYD double daily B77W (as with NW just finished)
MEL daily from both LAX and SFO (latter with B77W)

This is great news. Filling the gap and growing the market. I was just reminiscing today how much the VA 777 is missed across the Pacific, for no other reason than more Australian based competition.

UA will do well with the VA and Air NZ feeder traffic as well.

Perhaps Mr Qantas might be forced to give 789's back to BNE/USA flights, much rather travel across the Pacific in a 789 instead of a 332.

Not to mention VA's 3-3-3 seating layout in economy!
