Does anyone know the reason why the 3 a/c being used for Tigerair are all ex NZ ?

Already configured for over-water ops, maybe ?

Sort of.... The ex PB/VANZ don't all have life raft racks (dumb) but they do have a rudimentary satcom. And that's handy on international flights.
