Yesterday VH-ZNI QF7028 flew Lima to BNE .This flight had around 115 pax on board for repat people wanting to get home.

To my knowledge this is the first pax flight non stop to BNE from anywhere in Sth America.

Today another historic flight for BNE.

VH-VPD 77W CDG-BNE non stop without pax on board.Around a 19 hr flight non stop.

All 3 have been converted into medical aircraft. This is a new market which is gaining momentum in this country.

Not a new market, just sadly a growing one, lifeflight have had a 604 and some Lear 45s donated by SIngapore Air on the books since at least 2010. Pel Air have also been active in the market with their Westwinds from 2007

I have been a bit quiet recently due to issues at home.

Our current viewing area reopens tomorrow but our new viewing area has been put on hold till airport traffic resumes and income comes in to BAC.

Anyway up here in QLD we are still getting decent movements weekdays and around 237 movements on Wednesday this week was our busiest for awhile and 2nd only to PER in recent times.

Today we had our first MU 77W ever with a 2nd one on Sunday.

Nearly 40 airlines including military, freight, pax, regional, fifo, international are still flying through BNE on a weekly basis including 5 or 6 small commuters.
The Big boys such as EK,Hi fly,CX,SQ,MH,MU,KE,BR,CI,QF,VA and smaller internationals such as ON,IE,PX, are still flying usually freight or repat pax.

Today we had our 4th flight of Hevilift PNG to BNE in the past 6 weeks or so.

Domestically Skytraders,QF,VA,QQ,HT,Corporate,Skytrans,Gam air,REX and more are also very busy.

I believe that another Alliance F70 due next week on delivery?

New flight paths will commence off of the current 01R-19L runway this Thursday 21May 2020.There won't be too much of a difference, however it is best to get this up and running before the new 01L-19R opens in 8 weeks time.Lots of new Sids and stars about to start at BNE.

Also Qatar resume BNE this Thursday as well with the A350-1000 which will be the first of type for BNE.

Today we had the first CX 350-1000 departure ever.
BNE also had Alpha 3 departures today and 5 Heavies used the shorter runway.

Our SAA 340 was cancelled today sadly.

I posted 26 photos on the flickr from yesterday and today.Hope you like.

Yep after i posted the photos i read the Notam about Alpha 1 closed but could be open with 15 mins notice.I didn't have my scanner with me and the confusing thing was PX 763 used full length in the middle of the other Heavy departures using Alpha 3.

Thanks Adrian.
