It will be interesting to see how Big Linda goes, she carries a Bambi bucket with 7500l capacity, whereas the sky cranes have a 9500l capacity, however she can go 50% quicker the the sky cranes maxing out at 190kts.

Will be interesting to see how the Chinook does.

No call outs today, did do a day at Tumut on Friday (assisting the ACTRFS).

Saturday 19th December 2015

Singapore Airlines A380 9V-SKF really does need a visit to the Wash Bay ...

Korean's A380 has replaced their Boeing 777 service from December 2nd, and will continue flying daily all the way to March 27 2016, at which point the A330
will slot back into the schedule.

The United Airlines Star Alliance livery B777-222ER N218UA was a regular visitor back in 2014, however this year it has only made 21 visits all year.

The remaining Qantas B747s are still keeping very busy, VH-OEI is seen here departing Runway 34L for Vancouver, which has proved to be a popular new
route for Qantas.

Jetstar Dreamliner VH-VKJ arrived shortly before the inaugural American Airliners B777-300ER last Saturday, and I noticed a good example of the Dreamliner
wing unloading on touchdown. The two images have been overlaid and adjusted for a change in the camera zoom level. Notice the relatively straight wing on
the ground, compared to the considerable flex upwards in the air. The wing is supporting a Max Landing Weight of 172,000 kg (scroll right to see the same
aircraft about to touchdown).

VH-YXF won't be far behind, they were putting the rotors back on late yesterday afternoon at Caloundra.

Thanks, got photos of YXF at the airshow earlier in the year. Wouldn't mind getting photos of it calling though WGA.

Hope you had a Merry Christmas

Boeing B757-200 N757MA arrived on Boxing Day and is parked on DOM6 Bay 99. You can see the impact of the new fence, this shot
was taken from a three step ladder up on General Holmes Drive.
