Default -OJI's missing winglet

As we know -OJI lost it's winglet at JNB on the 19/12 and is still flying around minus it's right winglet.

I've noticed on logs and reports that -OJI has spent plenty of time in SYD since the incident so what's the delay in replacing the winglet, is it safe to assume QF doesn't carry winglets in their spares inventory?

So do QF have to:

1) Source one from a desert stored former QF at VCV or MZJ?
2) Source one from else such as an aviation salvage operator?

Be interested to know as I recall one a few years back possibly -OJF flying around with a Wunala Dreaming winglet fitted.

The rumour is they are getting one from one of the stored 744s at VCV or possibly MZJ.
