Unhappy The Death of TXH - Video

Hi all,

One of the 727 pilots from MEL filmed this, and has given me permission to upload the video.

Be warned though, it's an emotional video for those 3 holer lovers.

youtube video here

Part 2 is now here

Cheers

Carsten

Brings tears to my eyes seeing this magnificent plane being broken up as scrap metal Flew on her many years ago and many of her sisters too.
Pity one cant be restored back into a red delta ANSETT livery and put on display somewhere on a airport for all to see!!
Please vote if you agree with me!!
It would certainly be a draw card for many enthusiasts to visit.
Thanks for the video and sad to watch it, but memories will live on for many of us.
I also did the catering on her countless times in later years and also attended and flew on one of the very last Ansett 727-200 flights back in 1997
sad that time move on so quickly and less and less of these 727's will be around

They'll probably petition the appropriate state government to arrange a state funeral or something ridiculous along those lines...

Harden up girls - it's a piece of ****ing metal!

as Derryn would say, that's life!
