Default Flight plan plane crazy

London: The flight seemed to go perfectly well, until passengers realised their plane had landed in both the wrong city and the wrong country.
A British Airways flight BA3271 from London City Airport was supposed to head to Dusseldorf, Germany but ended up in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The airline said the problem started when an in correct flight plan was filed.
Officials say the pilot followed the flight plan for Edinburgh and that air traffic control officials also were following the same flight plan and saw nothing amiss.
The Plane was refuelled and made it to Dusseldorf.
"When we landed, we were told to put our hands up if we were on the wrong flight. It was everybody, no one got off the plane" one person said.

That story was told in today's Daily Telegraph this morning. Hope, it is interest you all.

Regards,

Cliff Cook.

Even stranger was the fact that the aircraft involved was German registered, so didn’t fancy going home!
