Maybe they're going to take all the ex-KLM 700s now?

I’m having issues with the maths, 77 is current fleet, 88 is target with 4 max so there is a 7 aircraft delta, 10 aircraft for VARA seems to match the ten at KLM but not the 7 missing, unless the ten are counted in the 88 and there are a few retirements.

7 737-700s will replace the F100s. It's also possible that the existing 2 737-700s will go West.

It is a little incongruous. The 77 or 88 aircraft does not include VARA.

To throw a spanner in the works, it was suggested on a WA Facebook forum the 700's were ex Chinese, 20yr old frames.

And after all of this, they had the perfect aircraft for Perth ops with their E170 & 190's a few years back!

Doesn’t seem overly likely stacked up against relatively young and lowish cycle ex-KLM aircraft that can stay in the fleet for goodness knows how long (like the F100s they’re replacing).

I think so? the word a few months ago was 3 ATRs to Olympic Airways (Aegean) with FVR already delivered an in service, the final likely to be FVQ (as FVP/FVN are both still listed as for sale)
