Default JQ12 Dirverts to Guam

JQ12 flying from Narita to Coolangatta has diverted to Guam after an engine was shut down due to a warning light indicating an oil pressure problem.

The aircraft is VH-VKK according to FlightAware.

A replacement aircraft is being arranged to pick up the 320 passengers.

VH-VKK is still in Guam.

The engine is being replaced. It has been posted elsewhere that it was only 3 months old it replacing a 9 month old engine.

The Australian had a story about it. The link to that story is here:

VH -VKK is back flying again as of yesterday the 17 August.

There is an newspaper article about the problem engines.
